New Delhi, Nov 14: Welcoming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's decision to seek an early mandate as "bold and courageous", BJP today announced it would have an alliance with his Telugu Desam Party in the assembly elections. "We are going to have an alliance with TDP in Andhra Pradesh but that party going for early assembly elections cannot be linked to Lok Sabha elections," BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu said. He said the Chief Minister's decision to dissolve the state assembly will go down well with the people of Andhra Pradesh since progress is not possible without peace. The Andhra cabinet recommendation was a bold one showing that TDP was ready to face the Naxal challenge, he said, adding "those who believe in peace will accept the challenge thrown by the naxalites and the people of Andhra Pradesh will give a clear mandate for development and peace."
