Kancheepuram, July 01: Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi today said he was enthused by the response from all parties and organisations to his efforts at solving the Ayodhya dispute. The Sankaracharya told reporters that he was also happy with the response of the Muslim community to his efforts.
Asked about his proposal for solving the vexed issue, the Sankaracharya told reporters he would reveal it only after July 8.
The seer refused to comment on the nature of discussions he had with RSS chief K S Sudarshan when the latter called on him yesterday.
Yesterday, Ram Madhav along with the RSS chief K S Sudhershan had called on the Seer.
On the meeting with the Sankaracharya, Madhav said that they tried to understand the essence of the latest proposals of the seer during the meeting.
Denying that the Prime Minister A B Vajpayee had a role in the latest proposals of Sankaracharya, Madhav said at some point of time the Centre and the VHP had to come into the picture.
He said there was no difference of opinion between the VHP and the Sankaracharya on solving the Ayodhya tangle.
