Madrid, Oct 24: Paul Casey leads the Madrid Open after a course record equalling opening round of 63. Paul Casey of England leads by one stroke from Spain's Sergio Garcia, with Padraig Harrington of Ireland and Sweden's Robert Karlsson both shooting 65 to share third place. Casey is chasing his third victory of the season on the European Tour after winning ANZ Championship in February and the Benson and Hedges International Open in May. Having started on the back nine, Casey had four birdies between the 13th and 18th to turn in 31, he then made a superb eagle three at the fourth and a ten footer for birdie three on the fifth. His only dropped shot of the day came on the sixth when he drove into the trees, but he recovered to birdie the next two holes to come home in 32.
