India have appointed South African Adrian Le Roux as fitness coach for the national squad. Niranjan Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, said that Le Roux would join the team before India go to the West Indies on April 1 to play five Tests and five one-dayers.
Shah said that the BCCI had initially hired Le Roux until the end of next year's World Cup, to be held in South Africa from February 8 to March 23.
Le Roux is currently the physical trainer of the Free State squad in South Africa and his appointment comes after a series of injuries to key players, largely attributed to poor fitness levels. Bureau Report
