It so happened that Kaushik, a former ‘Jhalak...’ contestant, attended the grand finale of the brand new season of the dance reality show. The team of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ was also invited to be part of the grand event. And that’s when the trio of Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Karan Wahi, reportedly, cracked unpleasant jokes about Kaushik.

In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Kavita said, “I was taken by surprise and I don’t approve of insulting somebody.”

Kavita’s microphone was reportedly turned off when she tried to respond to the jokes.

“I am a known public figure and I know how to carry myself on a public platform. I didn’t sign up for getting insulted on national TV. As a mature free citizen of this country I have a right to retaliate. And that power was taken away from me and if I am not given that right it is unfair. So, what can a dignified person say when someone is saying nasty, rude, cheap comments that I don’t endorse. I will get up and walk away from that place,” Indianexpress.com quoted Kavita as saying.

Reports further suggest that none from the team apologised to her.
