The first 'mehfil' of Urs, presided over by Dargah Diwan
Zaina Abedin, was held last night at the 'Dargah Mehfilkhana',
Dargah sources said.
Abedin washed the tomb of the Soofi saint with 'Kewra' after midnight, they said, adding the rush of pilgrims offering 'chaddars' at the Dargah has increased.
Leading Qawwal parties were performing in praise of Khwaja Saheb even as close circuit TVS were installed to monitor the movement of pilgrims.
The district collector has declared a holiday on September four when the Urs will conclude with 'kul' ceremony.
