New Delhi: Aug 06: Cellular service provider BPL Mobile has unveiled plans to focus on the pre-paid segment that is growing significantly. It has rebranded its pre-paid service "mots" (mobile on the spot) as "newmots," a news paper report said. Company officials said that out of BPL Mobile's total subscriber base of 1.4 million subscribers across the four circles, a million are in the pre-paid category. It now plans to spend Rs 20 crore over the next three months to promote the brand, the report said.

The features on newmots include night calling at 99 paise per minute, full roaming, missed call alerts and group SMS. Bureau Report
