New Delhi, Nov 25: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today appealed to the people to shun the narrow feelings of ill-will on communal, casteist and ethnic lines.

today appealed to the people to shun the narrow feelings of
ill-will on communal, casteist and ethnic lines.
Making an impassioned plea for promoting communal
harmony, national integrity and fraternity, he said the nation
could progress uninterrupted only if the citizens came out of
the narrow and parochial feelings.
While meeting a group of children on the occasion of flag
day for communal harmony, Advani also lauded the national
foundation for communal harmony for its commendable service.
The children, accompanied by the foundation officials,
pinned flags on President A P J Abdul Kalam, Vice President
Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Advani.
The foundation, which assists child victims of communal, terrorist, caste and ethnic violence, has so far helped 3500 children and disbursed Rs 7.4 crore, an official spokesman said.
