Gurgaon, July 15: Punjab Vigilance Bureau officials searched the resort owned by former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal's son here for the third day today in connection
with a corruption case against the sad chief and others.
Engineers and revenue department employees accompanied the vigilance sleuths during the raid at the premises owned by Rajya Sabha MP and former chief minister's son Sukhbir Badal.
A senior PVB officer told a news agency that they were measuring the entire premises, including built up and under construction structures within the resort sprawling over 17 acres. The material used in the construction was being identified. Replying to a question, the officer said it would take some time to assess the real value of the resort as construction cost has to be assessed after ascertaining the market cost of the material used. Since it is a technical job, it would take some time before the value can be assessed.
Besides measurement and assessment, the officials were taking video and photographs so that tampering or alteration made at the resort, if any in future, could be identified.
The team could commence its work only yesterday as on the first day the sleuths were stopped from taking video and photos.
