CIAA interrogates former ministers, officials in Nepal
Kathmandu, Oct 13: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today raided houses of two former ministers and two retired officials of Nepal this morning and questioned them for assets that were allegedly acquired through `illegal means.`

of two former ministers and two retired officials of Nepal
this morning and questioned them for assets that were
allegedly acquired through "illegal means."
CIAA has interrogated former home minister and joint
secretary of the Nepali Congress party Govinda Raj Joshi at
its office today, official media said.
Other two retired officials being interrogated at the
CIAA office are former home secretary Padma Prasad Pokhrel and
former defence secretary Chakra Bandhu Aryal.
CIAA has been investigating political leaders and
ex-servicemen for amassing property through "illegal means."
During the interrogation the commission has asked them
to provide source of their income as it did not tally with
their huge property.
The CIAA officials also raided and seized the house belonging to former finance minister and senior leader of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Ravindra Nath Sharma at Sanepa in Kathmandu. The officials locked the house of Sharma as he was not present at the house during the raid.
