Lucknow, Nov 27: BJP Legislature Party leader Lalji Tandon today said that the party was planning to approach the legislative council chairman for disqualification of the MLCs, who had raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here, Tandon said that he had sought time from council chairman Manvendra Singh to discuss the issue with him. BJP has already initiated action against 10 dissident MLAs and moved a petition for their disqualification to assembly speaker Kesari Math Tripathi and now the petition is slated for hearing on November 30.

Ramashish Rai, Bharat Tripathi, Avadh Pal Singh and Ajit Singh are among the dissident members of the legislative council against whom disqualification move was being contemplated by the state leadership.
