Gaza City, Sept 15: The al Aqsa martyrs brigades, an armed offshoot of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, today vowed to carry out more suicide bombings, in a statement received by reporters here.
"We promise more attacks, more suicide strikes until we put an end to the occupation of our land," by Israel, the group said.
"Our response to the massacres by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will be very hard," the group said, claiming responsibility for small arms fire that hit an Israeli observation helicopter over the reoccupied West Bank town of Tulkarem today.
The helicopter was hit by a single bullet, which caused no casualties or serious damage, although the pilot made an immediate landing in Israeli territory.

"This is one of our responses to this terrible occupation and to the killing of our fighters," it said.
For weeks, Fatah has been locked in intensive internal talks to try to thrash out a declaration, with the help of the European Union, to end attacks on civilians inside Israel, especially the deadly suicide bombings which have caused devastation in Israel's cities. Bureau Report
