Jerusalem, Aug 06: A car bomb exploded in Tel Aviv today, injuring three people. Police said the motive was criminal. The blast rocked Herzl, a mixed commercial residential thoroughfare in the south of the city. Rescue workers said one person was critically wounded and two people lightly hurt. "It's not a terrorist attack," said Tel Aviv police spokeswoman Slomit Holtzberg. "We know the people involved."
It's not unknown for members of Israel's underworld to attempt to kill rival leaders.
On June 30, a car bomb wounded an underworld leader in Tel Aviv.
