4-5 potatoes


Rock salt (consumed during fasts)


Red chilli or paprika


Black Pepper


Cooking oil


 


Method:


Peal the potatoes after rinsing with water.


Slice the potatoes into thin fingers, lengthwise.


Rinse them in water again after slicing.


Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water.


Drain the potatoes and let them stay over a kitchen towel of tissue.


Heat cooking oil in a wok.


Fry the potatoes till they change their colour to golden brown and look crisp.


Put the fried potatoes over tissue to let the extra oil drain.


Sprinkle the potato fingers with salt, black pepper and red chilli powder.
