Anaheim, Nov 30: Sergei Federov nets game-winner as the Anaheim Mighty Ducks skate to a 4-3 win over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks.
Shortly after his incensed coach called a timeout, Sergei Fedorov scored the go-ahead goal with 8:47 remaining as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim defeated the reeling Chicago Blackhawks, 4-3. Chicago tied it at 3-3 with two goals in a three-minute span before Anaheim coach Mike Babcock used his timeout. Moments later, Andy McDonald raced behind the net for a loose puck and set up a driving Fedorov for the decisive goal. Just before the goal, Martin Gerber made one of his 34 saves. He improved to 4-2-2 as Jean-Sebastien Giguere's backup.

Petr Sykora, rookie Joffrey Lupul and Jason Krog also scored for the Ducks, who snapped a four-game winless streak (0-0-2-2) and avoided overtime for just the third time in 10 games (4-0-2-4).

Mikhail Yakubov scored in his NHL debut, but the Blackhawk had their winless drought stretched to 10 games (0-6-1-3).
