Ahmedabad, Aug 27: Amidst unprecedented security, victims and witnesses of Naroda Patiya, that wrote one of the bloodiest chapter in last year's post-Godhra communal violence, began deposing before the Nananvati-Shah Commission here today. At least 82 people were charred to death by a violent mob here on March 01 last year, when the city was engulfed in communal riots triggered by the burning of the S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express at Godhra that killed 59 Ram Sevaks. Police was carrying out strict checking of people deposing before the two-man inquiry commission headed by Justice (Retd) G T Nanavati and Justice (Retd) K G Shah.
