Hyderabad, Apr 04: PWG ultras, who had kidnapped four policemen on Wednesday from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, today demanded combing operations in the area be stopped, a senior police official said here. "We have received a voice mail from their abductors (Naxalites) demanding immediate withdrawal of police force from combing operations in the Prakasam district forest areas", state Director General of Police P Ramulu told a news agency. All the police teams engaged in combing operations have been ordered to report at Markapur police headquarters, he said. "We are more concerned about the safety of our men", he added. The policemen include a sub-inspector, an assistant sub-inspector, a constable and a home guard. They were abducted by the ultras while they were returning after attending duty in Nallamala forest area.
