Daltonganj, June 01: A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued against Jharkhand Assembly Speaker, Inder Singh Namdhari for the third time by a Jharkhand lower court for his alleged involvement in a criminal case. On December 3, 1997 one Gauri Shanker Sao of Babhandi village under Chainpur police station of Palamu district had filed a case against Namdhari alleging that he was beaten by Namdhari and forced to sign a land related document.

The court took cognizance of Sao's complaint on September 19, 1998 under Sections 323, 504 and 449 of the IPC and issued summons asking him to appear in the court.

A bailable warrant of arrest against Namdhari was issued on July 30, 2002 for not obeying the summons. When Namdhari again did not comply with the court orders, non-bailable warrants of arrest against him were issued on February 10 and February 27, 2003 respectively by the court and the police were directed to implement the court orders by May two.

The first class judicial magistrate of Palamu civil court, Bhogesh Kumar Singh issued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against the Jharkhand Assembly Speaker for the third time yesterday for not complying the court orders and fixed June 25 as the next date for hearing.
