New York, Apr 05: The DISH Network satellite TV service is set to launch up to 100 new international channels from India, Middle East and Africa together with American programming packages on a single dish for customers in the United States, the EchoStar Communications Corporation has announced. With the launch this year of the EchoStar IX satellite, DISH Network intends to add new channels from India, Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, Africa and China, the corporation said.
DISH Network currently offers 42 channels of international programming in more than a dozen different languages.
A complete turn-key broadcast solution for international programmers, including billing, call centres and in-language customer service, low-cost set-top boxes, encryption, uplink services and nationwide sales and installation support would be provided, the Network said.
EchoStar will also offer assistance with signal transport from across the globe to DISH Network's uplinking facilities in the United States. Bureau Report
