New Delhi, July 18: Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants Mohd Afzal and Shukat Hussain Guru, two main accused in the Parliament attack case, used to visit the third accused and a city college lecturer S A R Geelani before the December 13 strike, a key witness told a Delhi court today. "Afzal and Shaukat used to visit the house of Geelani," Naresh Gulati, son of Geelani's landlord Roshan Gulati, told a special judge, S N Dhingra.

Deposing as a prosecution witness, Gulati said he had seen Afzal and Shaukat many times while they used to pass through the common stairs of his to the upper floor which was rented to Geelani for Rs 3,300.

The court also recorded statements of four more witnesses including two officials of private cellular companies—Airtel and Sterling cellular--who gave technical details about the functioning of the mobile phones in connection with usage of cellphones by terrorists on the basis of which investigating agency had reached to the accused. The other two witnesses -- Prem Chand, owner of a hostel near Delhi university and Rajneesh Kumar, a PCO booth owner --also identified the two JeM militants.

Chand told the court that Afzal and Shaukat had taken a room on rent in his hostel in which a person named Rohal Ali Shah stayed till December 8, five days before the attack.

Kumar said he had seen both the militants making calls frequently from his booth in a colony near the university.
