A thief stole 21 MTV awards from the music network`s London offices, police said.
A thief stole 21 MTV awards from the music network`s London offices, police said.
The awards were brought to MTV`s London headquarters from Germany after the MTV Europe music awards ceremony in Frankfurt last week, Scotland Yard said. They were waiting to be engraved with the winners` names, a police spokesman added.
The awards were stored in a box and valued at 6,500 pounds, said the spokesman, speaking on traditional condition of anonymity. There were no signs of forced entry at the music network` offices on Oxford Street in central London, police said.
Winners at the ceremony last Friday included the US band Limp Bizkit and the cartoon rap group Gorillaz.
