Raipur, Nov 22: The Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today jumped to the defence of his colleague and former Union minister for forests Dalip Singh Judeo alleging that Chattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi "knew something more" about the episode than was disclosed by the press at the time of breaking the news. According to "circumstancial evidence" Jogi knew something more of the Judeo episode as on November 16 when an English daily broke the news it did not state the amount of money or the hotel in which Judeo allegedly accepted the money. But Jogi stated in the evening that the amount was more than what former BJP president Bangaru Laxman had accepted in the Tehelka sting operation and that the incident occurred in Hotel Taj, Prasad said suggesting that CBI, which was probing the case should also question Jogi in this regard.
"The CBI should take help of Jogi on the issue and the Chief Minister should cooperate with the agency," Prasad told reporters at the BJP headquarters here.
Prasad also refereed to a media report today mentioning one Micheal William alongwith Rahul in the Judeo episode and sought to know the connection between William and the I Mac entertainment company and in turn its links with local channels that were alleged to have connections with Jogi's family.
