Gujarat Police claims to solve Akshardham case
Ahmedabad, Sept 24: As Gujarat observes the first anniversary of Akshardham Temple attack, the city crime branch today claimed to have solved the case on the basis of `documentary evidence available with them and on the precise information revealed during the interrogation of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Chand Khan`.
Ahmedabad, Sept 24: As Gujarat observes the first anniversary of Akshardham Temple attack, the city crime branch today claimed to have solved the case on the basis of "documentary evidence available with them and on the precise information revealed during the interrogation of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Chand Khan".
"The temple attack was a joint operation conducted by several modules of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Toiba, having their network from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia to Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and other cities," Joint Commissioner of Police, P P Pandey, told mediapersons here.
Two heavily armed terrorists had stormed the temple in Gandhinagar on September 24 last year, killing 33 people.
