Eight infiltrators killed near LoC
New Delhi, Sept 18: Eight intruders were killed this morning while trying to cross over to the Pakistan occupied Kashmir near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kalsiyan area of Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir by the army, a Defence Ministry release said.
New Delhi, Sept 18: Eight intruders were killed this morning while trying to cross over to the Pakistan occupied Kashmir near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kalsiyan area of Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir by the army, a Defence Ministry release said.
The release said that about 04:45 hours, an alert patrol of the army observed the movement of intruders near the LoC in Kalsiyan area.
When the patrol alerted other troops, soon reinforcements
arrived, it said adding that the intruders were intercepted
and in the ensuing firing, eight intruders were killed, some
of them while trying to escape towards PoK.
Bodies of three intruders and three weapons have been
recovered from the site and search of the area was continuing,
it added.
