Jammu, June 09: The dialogue process in Jammu and Kashmir, initiated by the Centre, gained momentum today with its pointman N N Vohra meeting a cross-section of political and socio-religious groups which demanded separate states for Jammu people and Sikhs and a homeland for pandits. Discrimination with regard to Jammu also figured in the talks Vohra had with 11 delegations on the second day of his week-long visit to the city.
Jammu State Morcha demanded a separate state for locals while all Kashmiri pandit solidarity conference called for a homeland for pandits with union territory status during talks with the Centre`s interlocutor. .

The Shiromani Akali Dal delegation demanded a separate state for Sikhs.
Demanding trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu State Morcha told Vohra that the Jammu region was being discriminated against.

The morcha said that separate states should be carved out for Jammu and Kashmir regions.
