PM rejects demand for Jagmohan`s resignation
New Delhi, July 29: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today rejected the demand by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for the resignation of Union Tourism Minister Jagmohan in connection with the controversial Taj heritage corridor project.

"I have confidence in him and there is no question of his
resignation," Vajpayee told the BJP Parliamentary Party
meeting here.
Vajpayee said he had received a letter from the Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister demanding Jagmohan's resignation.
The Chief Minister had alleged that Jagmohan was in
"collusion with her rivals" to destabilise her.
Mayawati had spoken to Vajpayee on telephone also
demanding Jagmohan's resignation, BJP spokesman V K Malhotra
told reporters here.
