Lucknow, Aug 01: Rashtriya Lok Dal today claimed that ten BJP MLAs held meetings with Ajit Singh amidst attempts by Uttar Pradesh opposition to muster numbers to dislodge the Mayawati government. Six BJP MLAs, two independent legislators supported by BJP and two MLCs held separate meetings with Ajit Singh, according to RLD state secretary Anil Dubey.

Among the legislators who met Singh were those who had raised a banner of revolt against party high command in October last, he said.
The meeting of BJP legislators with Singh assumes significance as early this week around seven party legislators held meeting at the residence of dissident BJP MLA and 'Save BJP' committee convenor Ramasish Rai. Bureau Report
