Coimbatore, June 12: Eyeing to capture wider market for embedded software systems in India, Florida-based Trioz Tech launched its operations, by setting up a Research and Development centre in the city. With an embedded systems market worth $12 to 15 billion in India, excluding defence, the company expected to achieve a business worth $1.5 billion in the first year, Trioz vice-president, Madan A Senthil told reporters here on Wednesday night.
The company would concentrate on automobile and defence sector for supplying embedded software for high technology micro-processor based environments, including cell phones, set top boxes and home appliances, he said.
With Conditional Access System soon coming into force in India, the company was willing to provide software for set top boxes at low cost. However, the cost of the box would depend on the hardware, he said. Bureau Report
