India will dispatch humantarian assistance to the war-ravaged Afghanistan. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), which reviewed the developments in Afghanistan as well as in Pakistan. The details of the humantarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan will be announced on Tuesday, External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh told reporters after a one-hour meeting of the CCS.
Several countries, including the United States, Japan and Canada have sent relief for the affected people of Afghanistan. The US transport aircraft had dropped ration, milk powder and tents in various parts of Afghanistan after the strikes on Sunday night.
