Suspected NLFT ultras kidnap six private company employees
Agartala, Dec 29: Suspected insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have kidnapped six employees of a private construction company engaged in railway track-laying project from Tripura`s Dhalai district, police said today.
Agartala, Dec 29: Suspected insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have kidnapped six employees of a private construction company engaged in railway track-laying project from Tripura's Dhalai district, police said today.
Heavily-armed NLFT ultras raided the construction site at Nakulbari under Ambassa police station limits of the district last night and kidnapped the six employees, including a supervisor. A search operation has been launched by the police in the area to rescue the abducted persons, they added.
In the last five years, different outfits altogether have had kidnapped 74 persons involved in the railway track-laying project in Dhalai and north Tripura districts, they said.
