The state roadways bus, travelling from Nobra to Leh, met
with the accident at South Polo, 50 kms from Leh, when the
driver was negotiating a sharp curve, an official spokesman
said in Srinagar.
Air force helicopters were pressed into service for
rescue operations, the spokesman said, adding the injured had
been admitted to Sonam Narboo and army hospitals where the
condition of ten of them was stated to be critical.
