Villagers nab naxalites
Berhampur (Orissa), Oct 11: Members of Kui Shanti Sangha, a tribal organisation, have nabbed six naxalites and handed them over to the police in Chandrapur village under Gudari police station of Rayagada district, police said today.

handed them over to the police in Chandrapur village under
Gudari police station of Rayagada district, police said today.
The ultras, rounded up yesterday, were being interrogated
by the police.
R.K. Sharma, SP, Rayagada, told
reporters phone that about 5,000 adivasis held a meeting today
at Kadama under Gudari police sation and endorsed the
earlier decision that they would not allow any naxalite
movement in the area henceforth.
Sharma expressed his happiness over the decision and
praised the adivasis for their commendable job.
