Yangon, June 01: Seven top leaders of Myanmar`s opposition party have been put under house arrest and all major party offices have been closed, after the detention of leader Aung San Suu Kyi, a junta source said today.

"All the leadership of the NLD (National League for
Democracy) have been placed under house arrest since
yesterday," the source told, referring to the seven
central executive committee leaders remaining in the capital.
