Hurriyat leader remanded to 10 day judicial custody
Srinagar, Sept 19: Jammu and Kashmir National Front chairman Nayeem Khan, who was arrested on September 10 for allegedly carrying Rs nine lakh Hawala money, has been remanded to judicial custody for ten days.

The Hurriyat leader was presented before the district court in Budgam yesterday at the end of five days police remand and was sent to judicial custody for ten days.
Khan, general council member of Hurriyat Conference who support the breakaway faction led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, was held for questioning along with an associate Abdul Qayoom at his Hyderpora residence in civil lines area after failing to explain the source of money in his possession.
Police claimed the money recovered from Khan was received through Hawala channels and was meant for funding militancy in the state. He was formally booked under on September 11.
