Investigators have detained a man working on an airport in Germany. The man, an Arab, is suspected to have links with Tuesday’s attack on the United States. Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off from the F-B-I, police in the German city of Hamburg have searched an apartment where two men believed to be linked to the attacks in the United States used to lived.
Police say the apartment had been empty since February and that the two men were believed to have lived in Florida from July 2000 to January this year.
During the search of the apartment, and others nearby, an undisclosed number of people were said to have been detained, including a woman with a baby.
A police spokesman said the search was prompted by two people who attended a Florida flight school from June 2000 to January this year.
