Pradesh experienced mild snowfall last night.
The peaks of Sapt Rishi, Lady of Keylong and Rohtang Top were
covered with snow, reports said here, adding that the higher reaches
of Pangi area of Bharmour in Chamba district had sleet.
Rain accompanied by strong winds hit the capital and other parts
of the hill state early today morning.
The regional horticultural research station at Mashobra near here
recorded 15.5 mm of rain since last night. However, the weather
cleared up after the morning rain much to the relief of the tourists.
A report from Chamba said the district was hit by rain and a hailstorm in the morning. There were also reports of heavy rain in Rampur, Sirmour and other regions of upper Himachal Pradesh.
The districts of Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra and Solan too experienced mild to heavy showers, much to the relief of the people of these districts.
