Chennai, Aug 11: TMC has suspended one of its dissident MLAs D Komaradoss and issued show cause notices to two MLAs who had written letters to state assembly speaker K Kalimuthu to treat them as TMC MLAs even after the proposed merger of the party with the Congress at a function to be held at Madurai on August 14. The MLAs, who had been issued show cause notices were R Easwaran nd m a Hakeem, TMC sources said. Sources said that the party's disciplinary action committee which met here late last night took the decision.
The party had asked former union minister R Danushkoti Adityan to contact another MLA S S Mani Nadar, who was one among them who had given a letter to the Speaker, distancing himself from the merger move and to ascertain his views, the sources added. The party had not taken any decision on the other MLA C K Tamizharasan. He had won the May 2000 assembly elections on the TMC symbol.
