Dehradun, June 15: Attacking the US policy on Iraq, senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad today said his party was totally opposed to sending of Indian troops to that country under any command other than the United Nations.
"If the Centre sends Indian troops to Iraq under the command of the US, it will mean that they (BJP) are also involved in their wrongdoings," he said, adding, the Congress, however, has no objection in sending troops under the flag of the UN.
Describing the US policy on Iraq as "totally flawed" right from the beginning of the war till the end, Azad said America "fooled the world by justifying the attack on Iraq under the garb of finding weapons of mass destruction. But more than two months after the war, they (America) have so far not found a single needle."
