Coimbatore, Apr 25: About 350 delegates from India and abroad will take part in the first conference on trauma conducted here by the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (Apoa) from today. Delegates from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malayasia, Korea, Australia and Saudi Arabia, would be participating in the three-day conference, organising chairman Dr S Rajasekaran told reporters here today. As a prelude to the main meeting, the conference has a two-day national trauma management course from today, with special emphasis on Indian patients and conditions, he said. Stating that there was dearth in the number of trauma centres considering the increasing accidents in India, he said people were not aware on what to do with the victims at the time of accidents.
