Militants attack bureaucrat`s vehicle in Jammu, 3 injured
Jammu, Nov 30: Militants today attacked the vehicle of a top bureaucrat injuring him and two others, including his driver, near famous Mahamaya Temple on the outskirts of the city following which a red alert has been sounded in the entire winter capital, official sources said here.

Militants riding on a scooter intercepted the vehicle of Director General, Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), K B Pillai, who was returning home after offering morning prayers and opened indiscriminate firing at around 0830 hours, injuring him, his driver and another person in the vehicle, the sources told.
The injured were admitted to Gandhi Nagar hospital, they said adding the ultras disappeared from the scene after the attack.
The entire Mahamaya forest has been cordoned off and the search for the militants is on. A red alert has also been sounded in the winter capital and all exit points have been sealed, the sources said.
