Judicial remand of Raja Bhaiyya and two others extended
Kanpur, Aug 23: The district and sessions judge, Shailendra Saxena today extended till September five the judicial remands of three Pota detenues, Uttar Pradesh MLA, Raja Bhaiyya, his father, Udai Pratap Singh and MLC, Akshay Pratap Singh.

judicial remands of three Pota detenues, Uttar Pradesh MLA,
Raja Bhaiyya, his father, Udai Pratap Singh and MLC, Akshay
Pratap Singh.
Saxena who is also the designated Pota court judge went
to the district jail for hearing the case.
The prosecution disclosed that the names of the three
witnesses who were shown as X Y and Z were Bhim Pandey,
Avdhesh and Kushraj all from Pratapgarh district.
The charge under Section 3/7 could not be framed in the
case and three persons accused of killing Rajendra Yadav who
were brought from Pratapgarh were sent back.
Saxena directed that they should be produced in the court on August 25.

Senior counsels Mridul Rakesh and Karimuddin appeared for
the prosecution while Virendra Bhatia and B D Mehta appeared
as defence counsels.
Tight security arrangements were made in and around
the district jail at the time of hearing the case inside its
premises.
