Repoll ordered in 55 polling stations in UP
The Election Commission on Friday ordered repoll at 55 polling stations of 18 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh following complaints of poll-related violence and irregularities in the third and final phase of elections on Thursday.

Repoll in these polling stations would be held on Saturday, state chief electoral officer Noor Mohammed said in Lucknow.
Meanwhile, repoll was held on Friday in 40 polling stations of Kairana assembly constituency where elections were held in the first phase on February 14. Noor Mohammad said that about 65 per cent voters exercised their franchise in these 40 polling stations on Friday.
The secretary to the Election Commission had recommended repoll in these stations following a probe into complaints of massive irregularities and rigging. Senior state minister Hukum Singh is seeking re-election from Kairana.
