About 1,650 families have been temporarily accommodated in different camps in Poonch district of Jammu division due to the prevailing situation on the border.
District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Ezaz Iqbal said that the migrant families have been accommodated in government school buildings, hostels, degree college, ITI and madrassas in Poonch, Mendhar and Mandi tehsils of the district.
The migrants have also been provided with 110 quintals of rice, 384 quintals wheat flour and 8250 litres of kerosene. In view of the present situation, the district administration and other non-governmental organizations have also geared up to help the migrants. Bureau Report
