Chennai, Mar 01: Two former Union Ministers, AK Moorthy and E Ponnusamy, have been renominated by the Pattali Makkal Katchi for the May 10 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu in the list released in Chennai on Monday evening.
Three sitting MPs, including former minister, NT Shanmugham, have been denied tickets.
There are four new faces in the list for the six seats, five in Tamil Nadu and one in Pondicherry, released by party founder-leader, Dr S Ramadoss.
Dr Ramadoss released the lists for both Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry after a special executive committee meeting of the party in Chennai.
A former IAS officer, R Velu, has now been fielded in Arakkonam. A neurologist of Dharmapuri district, Dr R Senthil, has been chosen for the Dharmapuri seat, while Dr K Dhanraj, a PhD, has been nominated in Tindivanam constituency.
Professor of Central University, Pondicherry, Dr M Ramadoss, has been named for the lone Pondicherry seat.
Those who failed to receive the grace of the PMK leader this time are NT Shanmugham (former minister), Elangovan (Dharmapuri) and Durai (Vandavasi). Bureau Report
