Vajpayee hails J-K govt for taking interest in his schemes
Srinagar, Aug 29: Prime Minister A B Vajpayee today hailed Jammu and Kashmir government for taking interest in implementation of the schemes announced by him during his last two visits to the state.
Srinagar, Aug 29: Prime Minister A B Vajpayee today hailed Jammu and Kashmir government for taking interest in implementation of the schemes announced by him during his last two visits to the state.
"I am happy to note that all ministries and departments are taking full interest in implementation of the schemes," he said after reviewing progress of those schemes.
Before leaving for Jammu on the second leg of his three-day visit to the state, Vajpayee, in a statement said the Centre was closely monitoring the implementation of the two packages announced by him during his last two visits to the valley in may 2002 and April this year. The Prime Minister said he held discussions with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, his council of ministers and representatives of a cross section of the society during his two-day visit to the valley. Vajpayee had announced a series of programmes and projects for economic development of the state involving an expenditure of Rs.14, 944 crore during his last two visits to the state of which Rs.9,184 crore has already been sanctioned.
