Coimbatore, Oct 01: Nearly 200 workers, belonging to Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhakam (TMMK), were arrested today, while attempting to stage a demonstration, demanding the resignation of Narendra Modi government in Gujarat. Police had denied permission to the organisation to stage a demonstration, seeking resignation of Modi government, which was chastised by Supreme Court for filing an 'eye wash' appeal against trial court verdict in Best Bakery case. The activists, who had gathered near Red Cross building in the city, were arrested, while attempting to stage a demonstration, police said. Bureau Report
