Dehra Dun, July 16: Seven members of the dreaded Prakash Pandey gang, having links with underworld don Chhota Rajan, were arrested in Nainital district today, a senior police official said here. The gangsters were arrested in an encounter following a tip off that they were hiding in Haldwani area of the district, SSP, Nainital Jeevan Chandra Pandey told.
Prakash Pandey, wanted in several cases of extortion and murder, is closely associated with underworld don Chhota Rajan and is presently hiding in Nepal, the SSP said.
The gangsters were operating from Uttaranchal and indulging in extortion and murder activities at the behest of Prakash Pandey, who in turn was taking instructions from Chhota Rajan, he said adding they were booked under Gangster Act. Bureau Report
