Date set for princess Diana death inquiry bid
London, Dec 05: Mohamed al Fayed will take his fight for a public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of his son dodi and his partner Princess Diana to a Scottish court later this month, his spokesman has said.

The Egyptian-born billionaire will have his application
heard at a court in Edinburgh on December 15, his spokesman
said yesterday.
Dodi and Diana, princess of Wales, were killed in a car
crash in a Paris underpass on August 31, 1997.
A similar request was rejected in April when an Edinburgh
judge ruled that it would not be appropriate to open a public
inquiry into an accident which took place in France, Fayed's
spokesman said.
But Fayed has asked for this decision to be reconsidered by another judge, the spokesman said.
On November 28, a Paris court ruled that three press photographers did not breach privacy laws when they took pictures of Diana and Dodi on the night of their fatal car crash six years ago.
