Los Angeles: French actress Ariane Labed has been roped in for Justin Kurzel's "Assassin's Creed".

The 31-year-old actress, whose performance received a lot of appreciaition in Yorgos Lanthimos' "The Lobster", will join Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in the New Regency live-action adaptation of the Ubisoft video game, reported Deadline.


"Assassin's Creed" would mark the highest-profile role for the actress till now. She will play the role that Alicia Vikander was earlier considered for.


The production is set to begin in early October. The film is slated for a December 21, 2016 release through Fox.
