TN CM denies giving any assurance to Nagappa`s family members
Chennai, Nov 07: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today said she had not given any assurance to family members of h nagappa that she would consider to send Tamil activist Kolathur Mani as an emissary to forest brigand Veerappan for the release of the former minister.

Denying reports in this regard, Jayalalithaa, in a statement, said neither the family members, who called on her yesterday, had made such a request nor had she given any assurance in this regard.
She said her government would take legal action against the newspapers, which had published such report.
Karnataka had not sought any help from Tamil Nadu till date on this, except for a meeting between her and her Karnataka counterpart S M Krishna on august 27 last, she said.
Nagappa has been in the captivity of Veerappan for the last 75 days today.
